Three Years Old

I don't know how it happened, but my sweet little Dona Reese is 3 years old today.  She is such a blessing to our family and has so much spunk and sass.  She makes life very fun and without a dull moment.  At 3 years old Reese is weighing in at 34.4 lbs and 38 inches tall.  She eats like a champ and her favorite foods are pretty much anything but applesauce and mashed potatoes.  That girl will try anything once(including jalepenos)
We are getting ready to register her for gymnastics and dance class. She is such a sweet big sister to Sophie and in return, Sophie loves her just as much, if not more.  I am really enjoying watching them bond and play together more.
And now a short birthday letter for my sweet girl...........
Happy 3rd birthday Dona Reese,
I cannot believe that you are already 3 years old.  It seems like just yesterday that I was getting our home ready for your arrival.  From the moment I first laid eyes on you, I was in love.  Those chubby cheeks and lots of dark hair just melted my heart.
You came into my life when I needed you most.  You truely saved my life. I will be forever grateful to you for that.
As I have watched you grow from baby, to toddler, to now a little girl, I could not be prouder.  You are smart and kind and have such a silly heart. I hope that as you grow, you will continue to keep that zest for life.  I love you more than you will ever comprehend. My love for you is constant and unwavering and I will be there for you no matter what.  And now to end this letter I leave a few lines from a country song titled "Highway 20 Ride" by the Zach Brown Band.
"So when you drive, and the years go flying by, I hope you smile If I ever cross your mind."
"It was a pleasure of my life, and I cherished every time, and my whole world,It begins and ends with you."

Happy Birthday sweet angel! Mommy and Daddy love you to the moon and back!

15 months of cuteness

Our sweet little Sophie turned 15 months on the 18th of this month. At 15 months Sophie is meeting most of her milestones.  She says........
*Hi
*Mama
*doggy
*daddy
*yea
She is still not walking but she cruises around all the furniture and crawls like a champ.  She laughs and smiles all the time and enjoys playing with Reese.  They are starting to fight with eachother which can be hard sometimes.  She goes to bed around 7PM and wakes up between 6 and 6:30AM.
She is still not a good eater, but she loves her bottles of milk.  Her favorite foods include,
Chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, yogurt, and rice.
At her most recent visit, Sophie is weighing in at 24.9 lbs(90th percentile) and 31 inches(65th percentile.)
She loves to snuggle and she is still sucking her thumb

Oh my sweet Sophie, we love you so much.  You bring so much joy to our family and make life so fun.

Back on the blogging scene

Well, my friends, I have decided to try and get back on the blogging bandwagon.  I really want to start documenting all the big and little things that are happening with our family.  I am not sure how diligent I will be at it, but I am going to really make an effort.
So hop on and enjoy the ride on the Wacky Welker train!

TGIF

I was going through old baby clothes and couldnt believe that my Reese was ever that small. This pic is when she is 8 weeks old. Is she not the cutest thing EVER!

Today I am so thankful its Friday. I had to week off from school so I pretty much did nothing. I dont know if thats a good or bad thing but it was nice to nap when I wanted. I am looking forward to school starting again on Monday because I hate not having a routine and I just feel more productive if I follow a certain pattern during the day.

I still sent Reese to daycare since we had already paid for it but I found myself missing her a lot. She can be so tiring at times but that girl is the light of my life. She is really becoming her own little person and I am so happy that I get to be her mommy.

Anyway, just a little blurb but I am finally happy that I am figuring out this blog thing:)

Still figuring this thing out!

Okay people here I go......
I am still trying to figure this blog thing out but I think I am going to like it:) For now I guess I will fill you in on all the little things going on in our life....
Rob: Rob is working for Direct TV and he really likes it. He has been able to bonus 2 months in a row so the extra money is always helpful. He is getting ready to go back to school in January for Accounting and I know he is really excited about going back to school. He is such a great husband and father and I feel so blessed to have him in my life.

Me: I am just plugging along doing my everyday things. I just finished my first quarter at school and I even managed to pull off a 4.0. I was so proud of myself and I feel that I really accomplished something. Those late nights were totally worth it. I am really starting to show now. I am 24 weeks along and I love being able to feel this sweet baby girl moving around in my tummy. I have noticed that having a toddler this time around makes me a lot more exhausted but its so worth it. We are all so excited to meet Sophie Elizabeth when she comes in January.

Dona Reese: What can I say about this beautiful little girl? There just aren't enough words to describe how happy she makes me. She just turned 17 months old and she is talking up a storm. I swear a new word comes out of her mouth everyday. She is climbing on everything and still gets into everything but she is so funny about it. She loves going to daycare while I am at school and she has made a couple little friends that she asks to go see every morning. She still loves books and coloring and is now really liking Barney. That purple dinosaur is going to be the death of me but hey, as long as it keeps her entertained while I take a nice shower then I am going to take advantage of it.

Well, that about it right now. Are lives are pretty repetetive day to day but I kinda like it that way.

our first blogg...

Okay... so to be honest, I didn't even know Bekah had created a blog for our family. We're doing great here in UT. I finally found a steady job after being unemployed for three or four months. I plan on working as I go through school. Bekah just started going to school to become a medical assistant, and hopes to be done by Aug. of next year at the latest.
Reese is more active then ever. As hard as she can be sometimes, she is the light and life of this family. She deffinately has a personality of her own. Unfortunately she has her dad's tempement and her mom's attitude, but she's incredibly smart and has a wonderful sence of humor.
Bekah is pregnant with child #2. We're pretty sure it's a girl *insert Bekah's laughter here*, and we think we're going to name her Felicity. Girl names are much harder for us to agree on then boys' names.
Dad and Jack are still best buds. All Jack has to do is look at him and Dad gives him a doggie cookie or a bone. As a result, Jack is becomeing rolly-pollyish again. Dad is still going strong, in spite of his age. I'm hoping he can keep going for a while.
Although I truely miss my friends back in Boston, I do believe that moving to UT was one of the best decisions we've ever made. We have a chance to finish our schooling, we have LOTS of family here, and the support we've got with our family here couldn't be compared to anything else. Even though it's much warmer here than it was in Boston, and even though there are no trees (trees in the mountains don't count), I am really loving it here in UT.
